Validity and Reliability of the Turkish Version of the Postoperative Fatigue Scale

Objective: Postoperative fatigue is an undesired and discouraging symptom that many patients experience after the surgery operation. Good assessment essential to detect manage this symptom. There no specific Turkish validity reliability measurement tool assess postoperative fatigue. In study, it was conducted adapt Fatigue Scale (PO-FS) in order evaluate fatigue.
 Methods: Methodological study method applied. This with a total of 276 patients. The data were collected using personal information form, PO-FS Visual Analog Scale-Fatigue April-July 2019.
 Results: sub-scales fatigue, vigor, daily life activities have Cronbach’s α coefficient 0.873, 0.898, 0.815, respectively. factorial analysis revealed three factors explain 76.344% variance. These findings suggest version valid reliable scale.
 Conclusion: PO-FS’s translation can be reliably used for determining
